Introduction

Schmidt Groupe is the 1st French kitchen producer, and the 5th in Europe.
Controlling the 20% of the French market, with an annual increase of 2/3%, Schmidt Groupe counts with a business volume of around 500 million euros per year, and almost 800 shops all over the world.

EuroForum is the biennial corporate event that Schmidt Groupe organize for its dealers to show the new products of the upcoming 2 years, and expose the new marketing strategies.
Around 3.000 delegates participate to the event, which is one of the biggest European corporate events.

Realization

In 2011 Schmidt Groupe open a tender in Barcelona for the EuroForum 2012 organization. 10 of the most affirmed local event agencies participated to the competition, and the winner is… EventoXtra.
We basically tried to create a new concept of exhibition. The aim of the client was to expose its new kitchens in an original way.

We propose to change the regular exhibition format with an itinerary exhibition, and to expose the products in some of the main attractive locations of Barcelona.

We propose 35 different venues for the products exhibition, and finally have been selected the Gaudi Casa Batlló, the MACBA (museum of the contemporary arts of Barcelona), the modernist palace Palauet, & one of the Eixample art galleries.
During the exhibition delegates moves from one venue to an other in 30 groups of 100 pax each, enjoying the beauties of Barcelona, and ‘colouring’ the historical city centre with their thematic flags.

Results

The 2012 edition has been evaluated from the Schmidt Groupe as the best edition of 20 years of EuroForum events.

Consequently EventoXtra has been elected to organize the following EuroForum editions until today. In 2014 we changed completely the event format, organizing the event, again with 3.000 participants, on the Cruise boat Costa Celebration on the route Marseille – Genova, with a back 2 back formula, and the products exhibition at Magazzini del Cotone in Genova.

In 2016 we organized a memorable edition of the EuroForum in Cannes, in the famous Palais des Festivals, where the film festival is used to take place, on the Cinema theme.

What will be next? We are actually working on the 2018 edition, the challenge is ‘change & innovate’, create a completely different & new format…
